PVC Sheet membranes have been used as a commercial flat roof single ply membrane. The product may be prone to failure as it ages but is difficult to repair because many coatings products to not adhere well to it. Our RC4000 / RC5000 system adheres to and waterproofs weathered PVC systems but should not be used on new PVC roofing.

Our PVC roof coatings requires a structurally sound substrate that is clean and dry. Surface should be free of any grease, oil or other contaminants. A 3-course system shall be applied at all roof penetrations, equipment, drains, waterways, areas known to have ponding water and the perimeter of the roof. This is accomplished by putting a layer of fabric into the RC4000 series base coat and then recoating twice using the RC5000 series.
Important Note for Warranty and Non Warranty Systems: The number of coats is generally based on a sprayer application. If you are using a roller, we suggest multiple coats to achieve the same amount of material. The product can effectively be rolled on at a rate of 75-100 Sq. Ft. per gallon (1 - 1.5 gallons per square)
For non-warranty PVC roof coating system, simply apply one coat of RC4000BC at a spread rate of 1 gallon per square (100 Sq. Ft). Next apply a top coat of RC5000CRC for PVC. Use a spread rate of 75 Sq.Ft. per gallon which equates to 1.5 gallons per square
Qualifying applications can receive a 10 year material only limited warranty. To receive this warranty you must use the systems illustrated below. You must apply for the warranty and submit the required documentation. This may include project photos before, during and after the project. We reserve the right to require inspections.
